Simply put, Powerlifting is a strength sport consisting of the following three events: The Squat, Bench Press and Deadlift. However, the actual sport of Powerlifting has become burdened with fractured governing bodies, multiple record books, arguments over the use of assistive gear and a haze of misinformation. A first time spectator walking into a Powerlifting meet will often find themselves easily confused. This website is designed to introduce a typical gym user to all things Powerlifting.
